Help Oxbow celebrate Earth Day by participating in the Earth Day Groceries Project. This FREE program helps spread environmental awareness as students, children, and adults decorate paper grocery bags with beautiful and unique environmental messages.
Here's How It Works:
1. Come to Oxbow to color your grocery bag. Bags must be decorated at the center. Oxbow will provide crayons and markers. However, if you have other materials you would like to use, feel free to bring them! We have over 700 bags that need decorating!
2. After you and your child are done coloring, return the bag to an Oxbow staff member. These bags will be returned to Publix on Macon Road for Earth Day on April 22, 2013.
3. On Earth Day, these bags will be passed out (full of groceries) to Publix shoppers. Besides carrying an environmental message, each bag will also include your child's first name, the name of your child's school (if applicable) and some beautiful artwork! The people in our neighborhood will get a very clear and positive message that the child and adults of this community care about the environment.
Hints, Tips, and Other Instructions:
We would like to offer a special THANKS to Publix for donating their paper bags to use for this project.
