Nature Play

Nature Play is lightly guided by Oxbow Meadows volunteers and is designed to encourage
children and adults to be creative while exploring nature.
Discovery Time
2:00pm-4:00pm
Enjoy exploring our facility at your own pace. Families can visit our exhibits, discover
wildlife, and enjoy learning throughout the center.
No registration needed. Just stop on by!

Nature Babies
9:30am-10:15am | $5 per child
Explore nature with music, movement, arts & crafts, and science in a safe environment
with your young learner 0-23 months. These classes are designed for babies with their
caregiver.
Magical Mushroom Makers
11:00am-11:45am | $3 per child
Decorate your own mushroom, then head outside for a mushroom hunt! Search for fungi
that live among us.
Scaley and Slimey Presentation
1:30pm-2:30pm | $5 per person
Come on over to Oxbow Meadows to meet some of our Animal Ambassadors where we will
showcase some scaley and slimey creatures!

Little Naturalists

Enjoy this hands-on program that provides an opportunity for young children ages 3
to 6 to connect with nature. Children will have the chance to learn through exploration,
creativity, and hands-on discovery.
Build-a-River
11:00am-12:00pm | $5 per child
In this hands-on science adventure, we will build a river model! Learn about rivers
in the environment and how water flows and shapes the land.
Mad Science Presentation
1:30pm-2:30pm | $5 per person
Enjoy a science adventure filled with fun demonstrations, surprising results, and
awesome discoveries!
