This presentation is held in the auditorium, perfect for large group. 

Fiz, Pop, Boom!
Can you make water disappear? Or create electricity? Well, you will learn to this and more this summer at our Fiz, Pop, Boom Show!

Totally Turtles
Are you ready to shell-ebrate turtles?!? Join Oxbow as we learn about turtles, tortoises, and their reptilian relatives! 

Radical Reptiles
Meet some of Oxbow's animal ambassadors in this interactive show full of reptiles and amphibians! 

 

 

Nature Detectives

Are you ready to become a Nature Detective? Each day will be a new mystery to unravel as we follow track marks and even SCAT (a.k.a. animal poop). You may learn where birds go in summer or how to dig up the mysterious world of decomposers.  

Program may include a scavenger hunt, hike, hands-on activity, or craft. Each program will include a different theme and hands-on fun! Each day will offer a new and different program, please visit as many programs as you want!

Wildlife Explorers

Are you ready to explore the WILD?! Join Oxbow as we turn into butterflies and pollinate flowers or become birds flying for survival.

Program may include a scavenger hunt, hike, hands-on activity, or craft. Each program will include a different theme and hands-on fun! Each day will offer a new and different program, please visit as many programs as you want!

Program sizes:

  • Oxbow Presents is limited to 80 participants
  • All other programs are limited to 25 attendees 

Program Ages:

  • Our programs are designed for children of all ages.

Tickets:

  • Tickets are recommended, but not required to be reserved in advance.

Other Program Information:

  • Adult supervision is required at all times during programs.
  • All programs are subject to change.
  • Cancellations must be made 48hrs in advance
Group Reservations

Large Groups
For group reservations of 10 or more people contact our Education Manager, Dr. Lauren Johnson at johnson_lauren1@columbusstate.edu. Ask us about custom and private programming options. 

Group Pricing:

  • Pricing for students is $5
  • Teachers and counselors are free
  • Groups require a $30 deposit

Oxbow Reads Club

Oxbow has free reading days over the summer, Tuesday-Saturday, in June and July at 11am. Join the Oxbow Reads Club to read 20 books and earn a special prize!

Looking to bring Oxbow to you this summer?  We offer several off-site program, including Reptiles on the Road!

National Infantry Museum Summer Camps

Oxbow Meadows is proud to partner with the National Infantry Museum to offer a unique summer camp experience. Campers ages 9-15 will be presented with activities designed to promote teamwork and to teach Army values as well as explore and learn about our natural surroundings. Please register for camps through the National Infantry Museum.
