Community Science - Where Everyone Can Be a Scientist

At Oxbow, we believe that science isn't just limited to laborities - it is part of the community and our environment. Our Community Science (also known as Citizen Science) empowers visitors, volunteers, students, and local residents to step outside, observe,a nd contribute to science.

Through our programs you can help monotior birds, contribute to bidoversity observations, and participate in habitat studies. Whether you're a youngster or a lifelong learner, there is something for everyone

What is Community (Citizen) Science?

Community science—also commonly called citizen science—is a collaborative approach where everyday people contribute to real scientific research. Whether you’re collecting data, taking observations, or helping analyze trends, you’re playing a vital role in expanding scientific insights.
