S.T.A.T.E. U

Columbus Water Works, Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center and the Chattahoochee RiverWarden developed an environmental awareness program aimed at students in grades 6 through 12.  The program is titled S.T.A.T.E University (Students Taking Action Towards Environment), and is in the form of a competition by school teams.  The best team projects will be presented at a Workshop at Oxbow Meadows in the spring. There will be a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and honorable mentioned prizes awarded.

Audubon Bird Art Contest

Each year, the Audubon Society of Columbus, offers a free art contest to Muscogee County students to demonstrate their artistic talents and knowledge of local birds.
