Hands-on Activities

Keeping a Weather Journal

What’s the weather today?  Can you look out the window and make an observation?  Let’s see if we can observe the weather for one whole week! It's easy!  You can either use paper you have at home, or use this handy worksheet to get started.

After observing the weather for seven days:

  1. Was there a pattern in the weather?
  2. What was the hottest day?
  3. What was the coldest day?
  4. Did you need to wear any special clothing on some days?

Act it Out!

Now its your turn!

Can you do a weather report for your family or classroom?

When you give the weather report, remember to tell people what type of weather today will be and if they need any special clothing, like a coat or an umbrella.

And most important, be silly and have fun!
