STEAM Nature Journaling for Teachers

Nature Journaling asks students to connect to the natural world around them, encourages observation skills as they record using words, pictures and numbers over time!
Open to K-12/pre-service teachers in the Muscogee County School District and surrounding areas!

Explore how to incorporate Nature Journaling to engage students with indoor and outdoor activities that align to your specific grade & subject standards! - Practical Tools & Giveaways!
Attending participants will be entered in giveaways to receive Nature Journaling tools for their class such as hand-held microscopes, a copy of the curriculum How to Teach Nature Journaling by John Muir Laws & Emilie Lygren, personal nature journaling tools and more! - Free & Fun PD!
Spend the day at Oxbow Meadows as we engage in activities, have discussions, and discover new ways to inspire your students.

This workshop is provided at no cost to the participants. Pre-registration is required!
Formal and informal educators are welcome and is recommended for K-12 educators in and around Muscogee County!

Additional Details
- Many activities will take place outdoors.
- Close toed shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, and a water bottle are highly recommended.
- Lunch is not provided. Please bring your own lunch and water bottle.
The workshop is held at Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center located at 3535 South Lumpkin Rd Columbus, GA 31903.
